ABOUT US!


The Lake Worth Bullfrogs Youth Association strives to make our programs a fun, rewarding, & positive experience for each of our athletes. We truly care about developing our athletes past sportsmanship by instilling leadership values, a teamwork mentality, problem-solving skills, self-confidence, & character. Sportsmanship is an understanding of and commitment to fair play, ethical behavior, integrity, respect of officials and coaches, and general goodwill toward an opponent. It is an declaration that an athlete is disciplined enough to have perspective, maintain self-control, and do what is best for his or her teammates. Parents, coaches, and team leaders are an essential part of maintaining group sportsmanship and composure.

We are a 100% volunteer 501(c)(3) organization who rely on the generosity of our volunteers who give their time to the kids in our community, established in 1977. All donations & sponsorship money goes directly to our kids. Unlike some youth sports organizations, our board of directors do not receive any type of salary. We offer the following youth sports programs for ages 4 to 13 years old- Baseball & Softball (Spring and Fall), Football (Fall), Basketball (Winter), Cheerleading (Fall). Child safety is our number one priority. All coaches, team parents, & board members undergo annual background checks. Coaches are also required to take concussion, sudden cardiac arrest, & bullying knowledge-based training.

Football 2025 - Fall 2025

The Lake Worth Youth Bullfrogs Football is affiliated with the Northwest Texas Youth Football Association league. Our program is open for players ranging from ages 5 through 12 (6th grade). Registration fees cover the cost of the player's jerseys and an end-of-season participation trophy. It will also cover operating costs (i.e. field rental, utilities, etc). Players are responsible to purchase other uniform items, such as mouth guard, pants, cleats, helmets & shoulder pads.

 Each player must attend a mandatory certification/weigh-in appointment to be eligible to play for the season. Two mandatory certifications/weigh-ins appointments are usually scheduled, with a player only needing to attend one appointment. The first certification/weigh-in appointment date is free, but a late certification/weigh-in appointment incurs a $50 late fee. Players must have their information uploaded to National Sports ID upon certification appointment. Dates and locations for appointments are determined by the league Northwest Texas, and league fees are set by the league and may vary from year to year.






Conditioning camp normally starts in June. After registration has been finalized in the first week of July, each player will be placed in their respective team divisions & coaches will reach out to them. Practices are usually during the weeknights (days & times are set by each division coaches). Regular football season starts in August & ends in October. Playoffs can run from November to December. Football games will be scheduled on Saturdays. In compliance with the NTYFA league, the games cost $5 to get in. All LWYA parents/legal guardians (members) are requested to serve one weekend at the Bullfrogs Home concession stand. Concession sign ups will go out once game schedules are finalized.
