Football - Fall 2023

The Lake Worth Youth Bullfrogs Football is affiliated with the Northwest Texas Youth Football Association league. Our program is open for players ranging from ages 5 through 12 (6th grade). Registration fees cover the cost of the player's jerseys and an end-of-season participation trophy. It will also cover operating costs (i.e. field rental, utilities, etc). Players are responsible to purchase other uniform items, such as mouth guard, pants, cleats, helmets & shoulder pads.

Each player must attend a mandatory certification/weigh-in appointment to be eligible to play for the season. Two mandatory certifications/weigh-ins appointments are usually scheduled. A player only needs to attend one appointment. The first certification/weigh in appointment date is free. Late certification/weigh in appointment has a $15 late fee. A copy of the player's birth certificate needs to be presented during the certification appointment.

Conditioning camp normally starts in June. After registration has been finalized in the first week of July, each player will be placed in their respective team divisions & coaches will reach out to them. Practices are usually during the weeknights (days & times are set by each division coaches). Regular football season starts in August & ends in October. Playoffs can run from November to December. Football games will be scheduled on Saturdays. In compliance with the NTYFA league, the games cost $5 to get in. All LWYA parents/legal guardians (members) are requested to serve one weekend at the Bullfrogs Home concession stand. Concession sign ups will go out once game schedules are finalized. 

*Other events outside of football games include, but are not limited to or guaranteed: Homecoming Parade with Lake Worth ISD, CheerFest Competition in Haslet, Dallas RedZone Games at AT&T Stadium, & other fun events organized & planned by your cheerleader's coach. 

***We are always in need of volunteer coaches. If you're interested, fill out the volunteer registration. Commissioner will select the coaches each season. Volunteers are subjected to a background check. Our background check policy is located on the https://lwyasports.org/downloads website titled “LWYA Background Check Standards”.
